House Blessing with Holy Water
Agiasmos (eye-yahz-MOS, literally, “Sanctification”) is the name for 1) Holy Water, 2) the service by which Holy Water is consecrated, and 3) the Blessing of Homes with Holy Water. It is customary for the parish priest to come bless a home before a family is to move into it or shortly thereafter. Each year, it is also customary for the priest to bless the home with Holy Water on or after the feast of Theophany, which celebrates Christ’s Baptism and is the main occasion on which we consecrate Holy Water in the Orthodox Church.
If you would like Fr. Gregory to come bless your home, please complete the form below or contact the Church Office to schedule an appointment.
